Submit new Android version
How do I submit a new version of my Android app?
There can be many reasons to submit a new version of your app. Follow this guide to know how you can submit your app for review to Google Play successfully:
Step 1: Log in to Google Play Console
Go to Google Play Console.
Sign in with your developer account.
Step 2: Select Your App
In the Google Play Console, select the app you want to update.
Step 3: Create a New Release
In the left-hand menu, go to Release > Production.
Click on Create new release.
Step 4: Upload Your AAB File
Click on Upload and select the AAB file you have prepared for release.
Upload the AAB file to the Google Play Console.
Step 5: Enter Release Details
In the Release name and Release notes field, submit the version name and what’s new in this version of your app. For instance, you can submit information on new features, improvements, or/and bug fixes.
Step 6: Review and Rollout
Ensure all the information is correct and complete. Check app details, release notes, and the uploaded AAB file.
Click on Next to proceed and hit the Save button.
Step 7: Monitor Release Status
You will see a Publishing overview pop-up. To review your release, click on Go to Overview.
Next, click on Go to Publishing overview in the next pop-up.
You will reach the Publish overview page. Click on "Send changes to review button".
Finally, click on "Send changes for review" from the pop-up.
Additional Tips:
Pre-Launch Report: Use the Pre-Launch Report feature in the Google Play Console to identify potential issues before releasing your app to all users.
Release Notes: Be clear and concise in your release notes to inform users about the changes and improvements in the new version.
Compliance: Ensure your app complies with Google Play policies.
